Lapageria rosea 'Ana Maria'

Received as a micropropped plant from Pinga pinto Code "RT" in 2020
This is a chimera that René Torres obtained and multiplied in vitro first in 2012, and it has been stable since then. The flowers are pink and the leaves show a distinctive white variegation around their edges. René called this clone 'Ana Maria' after his Mum.

The species comes from Chile; the majority of wild plants have cherry red flowers with occasional pale pinks and whites. Introduced around 1847.
