Solanum laxum 'Album' (syn Solanum jasminoides 'Album')This fast growing evergreen climber bears clusters of white flowers with a yellow beak from summer through to December. Not as hardy as S. crispum it should be sited out of cold winds but it is a true climber, climbing by using its leaf stalks. An easy going quick climber, beautiful in flower, sadly not scented despite the jasminoides previously in its name! Solanum laxum came from Brazil in 1838 (min -5c) This is one of the reliable star performers in our garden. |
