Hibbertia scandensVigorous evergreen twiner with large glossy leaves, Hibbertia scandens has large bright yellow flowers all summer (looks a bit like a climbing Hypericum) Bit tender and best grown under cold glass except in the mild parts of the UK. Makes a lovely conservatory climber. (min -2c) best with well drained soils and it is extremely wind and salt tolerant, and does well in Cornwall's coastal gardens especially with a sunny aspect. Usually reliable at coming back from the roots after a severe winter event. Native to South Eastern New South Wales northwards to North Eastern Queensland, Australia |
