Bright splayed open red flowers, like spent tulips (although part of the viticella cvs collection there must be a touch of texensis blood as well) Free flowering July to September. Good robust grower. Any aspect, hard prune in spring.

Clematis 'Madame Julia Correvon' was raised by Morel of France in 1900 by crossing a C. viticella and C. 'Ville de Lyon' It has an A.G.M.
