Clematis 'Killifreth'

Clematis 'Killifreth' was hybridised by us in 2001 and named after a local tin mine. Vigorous growth to 3M, prolific flowering July to September, a typical viticella it is best hard pruned in spring and can be planted in any aspect. The flowers are semi-nodding at first; opening to a saucer shape; up to 7cm across; 4, occasionally 5 tepals, white, with a broad margin of purple tinged with red.
A seedling of Tango it forms part of the National collection.
